Ms. Anderson, of counsel to BMSA, managed and tried cases throughout Northern and Central Illinois for over 25 years. She has also tried Federal Court matters in the Northern District of Illinois. In the healthcare malpractice area, she has handled cases involving various specialties, including: radiology (diagnostic, interventional radiology and ultrasound), orthopedic surgery, internal medicine, family practice, infectious disease, obstetrics, gynecology, oncology, general surgery, anesthesiology and pain management, cardiology, geriatrics, emergency medicine and nursing home defense. She has also defended catastrophic injury cases involving automobile accidents, trucking, construction, and premises liability cases. Ms. Anderson has also represented employers defending employment discrimination matters. Further she has obtained dismissals and summary judgments for clients on many issues in different areas of the law, including automobile accidents, construction, premises liability, and medical negligence cases.

Ms. Anderson successfully defended a motion to dismiss on behalf of a mental health clinic leading to the Illinois Appellate Court finding that the Abused and Neglected Child Reporting Act does not provide an implied private right of action to children. Doe v. North Central Behavioral Health, 352 Ill. App. 3d 284 (3d Dist. 2004).

Ms. Anderson has been a lecturer to the insurance industry on civil litigation and defense strategies.

Ms. Anderson is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association and the Defense Research Institute. She was inducted into the prestigious Society of Trial Lawyers.
